Staffing Announcement: Vice Principal at Grimshaw Public School

The Peace River School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Demeester as the Vice Principal of Grimshaw Public School commencing in the 2025-2026 school year.
Mrs. Demeester received a Bachelor of Education degree through the University of Alberta in 2016 and a Master of Education for Educational Policy Studies, Educational Administration, and Leadership from the same Post-Secondary Institution in 2022. Mrs. Demeester began her career with the Peace River School Division in 2003 as an educational assistant at both Manning Elementary and Paul Rowe Jr./Sr. High School. After obtaining a teaching certificate, her first teaching assignment was as the lead teacher at Breaking Point Colony School in Manning. In the following years, in her combined work at schools in Manning, Dixonville and Grimshaw, she taught students at every grade level. Since August, 2022, she has championed Dixonville School as their Principal, I-Coach, and as a teacher within the school.
Mrs. Demeester values community involvement and building relationships within and outside the school setting. In her most recent role, she facilitated and implemented a school-day schedule that allowed staff and students to end their day with hands-on, curriculum-focused project-based activities, with the heart of the Dixonville community in mind. As a result of her forward thinking, and the collaborative efforts of her staff, the school experienced a decrease in behavioural concerns and an increase in student confidence and joy in learning.
Congratulations Tracy!
