Joint Use Facility Implements Hold and Secure Procedure
Friday, October 28, the Mile Zero Multiplex, which houses both a Peace River School Division school and Holy Family Catholic Regional Division school implemented a hold and secure procedure due to an alleged threat towards the schools. Local RCMP were involved and secured the location immediately. All students and staff were kept safe within the school and the event was quickly resolved.
Both divisions would like to thank the Peace Regional RCMP for their quick response and thorough investigation. All procedures were followed accordingly within the schools and each Division appreciates everyone's patience and understanding during the event.
Student and staff safety is always our main priority and we are grateful for a positive outcome. Both divisions will have support available for students who require it.
