New Principal at Grimshaw Public School
Peace River School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Shaw as Principal of Grimshaw Public School.
Jessica was appointed the Vice-Principal of Grimshaw Public School at the start of the 2019/2020 school year. Before her appointment as the Vice-Principal of Grimshaw Public School Jessica was a successful Jr/Sr High Math Teacher. She volunteered to be part of her school’s High School Redesign Team and supported new Teachers at her school through mentorship initiatives. Most recently she was assigned by the school division to lead Peace River School Division’s Virtual Education Program initiative.
Jessica received her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, with distinction from the University of Alberta where she majored in Mathematics and minored in Music. She then received her master’s in education from the University of New Brunswick in Curriculum Studies and is currently enrolled in the University of Lethbridge in their Leadership Quality Standard 2 course package. Finally, Jessica is a High School Graduate of Grimshaw Junior/Senior High School and is proud to be Principal of a school that she graduated from.
Jessica brings a lot of energy and experience to her new role at Grimshaw Public School. Grimshaw Public School and the school division will benefit from her leadership.
