The Mental Health in Schools Project intent is to provide increased access to universal and targeted supports in the schools that are not served by project PEACE with Mental Health Capacity Building.
These are schools that have been identified as rural and having limited access to support. Our goal with this project is to support students with a range of services and supports through the collaboration of school authorities, mental health providers and other entities, while utilizing new and innovative approaches, blending knowledge from research, best practices and stakeholders both in and outside of education.
The Mental Health in Schools Project partnership continues to work with MHCB to serve schools outside of the two communities that are currently using MHCB programming to build strong mental health supports in the outlining schools.
