Town Hall Feedback Regarding Potential Class 1 Driving School
This past Wednesday, March 29th, the Peace River School Division (PRSD) in partnership with Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP), hosted a town hall to gather information from local industry sectors who may see value in the potential Driver Training School for Class 1, Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT), and Air Brakes Q Endorsement program.
With many different industry representatives in attendance, PRSD and NWP received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback in response to bringing this potential program to the Peace Region. Currently, access to the MELT program is limited, and many saw this as a possibility to fulfill the needs of businesses in local and surrounding communities.
PRSD is excited to enter the next phase of planning and are looking forward to creating and submitting a well-developed business plan to Alberta Education for approval that highlights the importance of this initiative.
