Premier Danielle Smith visits Peace River

We, too, are ready for the Peace Region to be the next Albertan community to experience an economic boom.

Last night, Peace River School Division Superintendent Adam Murray and Board Chair Crystal Owens, along with Trustee Marie Dyck, attended a public meeting in Peace River to hear from Alberta Premier Danielle Smith. And, to our surprise, several of our Worsley Central School students also attended the meeting last night. Thank you to the Worsley Youth Group for bringing these students to this meeting, and allowing them to learn and engage in provincial politics. What a tremendous summer learning opportunity!

We would invite the Premier to consider last night's full room, containing both youth and seniors and everyone in between, as another indicator of the energy and passion the people of the Peace Region have for creating a successful and profitable future for our children.

This region is ready to see the kind of growth that other areas in the province have seen in recent years, and as a school division, we are excited about the potential of a economic boom creating an opportunity for us to welcome new students and fill our schools all while continue to provide a first-choice education to our communities.

Thank you Premier Smith for visiting the Peace Region and answering some good questions. We look forward to continuing our partnership in investing in the people who live in this beautiful and expansive area
