School Bus Purchase for 2026-2027

The Board of Trustees approved a request to purchase seven 70-passenger school buses for a total capital expenditure of $1.28 million.

PRSD maintains its fleet through an evergreen replacement program. On average, buses are replaced at 10 years of age, with the overall condition of each bus also taken into consideration.

Wards 4 and 7 Trustee Resignations

The Board of Trustees reviewed and accepted the resignations of Ward 4 Trustee Paul Quinney and Ward 7 Trustee Edith Giesbrecht.

The PRSD extends its sincere gratitude to both former trustees for their service to students, families, and staff. Former Trustee Quinney was elected in the October 2025 general election and served the Division for nearly one year. Former Trustee Giesbrecht was acclaimed during a by-election in October 2023 and again during the October 2025  election. She served the Division for nearly three years. The PRSD wishes both individuals well in their future endeavours.

Wards 4 and 7 By-Election

The Board of Trustees have called by-elections to fill the vacant Ward 4 and 7 seats. The nomination period is now open and closes at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
