PRSD 2022-2023 Successes
As we embark on a new school year, we would like to take the time to reflect on the past year and how each and every staff member within the Division attributed to so many exciting accomplishments being made.
It takes a village to reach divisional achievements each year, and we could not have done this without our dedicated staff members and support from the community.
Some highlights from the previous year include:
- Having the funding approved for the Manning Aurora Composite School CTS lab.
- Gaining approval for the design funding for the Red Earth Creek replacement school.
- North Peace Commercial Driving Academy, which is set to start accepting students in 2024.
- Collaboration with CAREERS Next Gen, which will support PRSD's ability to offer more CTS courses, work experience and RAP programs.
- Engaging in a value scoping partnership within Fairview.
- Creating a partnership with the Art Hub in Peace River.
- Offering a Distance Education (Teacher Directed) Program.
- The PRSD Student Teacher Bursary.
- Hosting the first Horizons and Change Café to support student leadership.
- Learning directly from Treaty 8 First Nations Alberta.
- Zone 1 Grad Studies in Educational Leadership to support our aspiring leaders.
All of these feats would not have been possible without the hard work of our PRSD employees. As a team, we have all worked together to accomplish these successes. This is a great example that together, we are all successful.
