Registration
Class 1 Registration Notes
- You must successfully complete the Class 1 Online Entry Program on Alberta.ca and your provincial knowledge exam through an Alberta Registry office prior to starting the Core Learning Program at the North Peace Commercial Driving Academy.
- You must complete a Driver's Medical examination through a physician before beginning the Class 1 Learning Pathway.
- We encourage students to contact the North Peace Commercial Driving Academy prior to enrolling in the Entry Program if their intention is to complete the Core and Competency programs at our facility. This allows us to provide you with the best available scheduling opportunities.
- If students require access to technology or learning supports to complete the online portion of the new Class 1 Learning Pathway, please contact us for further information.
- We cannot offer discounts for drivers who have previously obtained their Air Brakes (Q) endorsement and are now registering for Class 1 Driver Training.
- Scheduling is based on driver and truck availability.
- Registration is not complete until fees are paid in full.
- We are unable to offer payment plans at this time.
Class 3 Registration Notes
- Prior to beginning your in-truck training, you must successfully complete the Class 3 Knowledge Exam at a Registry Agent.
- Prior to beginning your in-truck training, you must have also successfully completed an Air Brakes training program. The North Peace Commercial Driving Academy offers a two-day training course monthly.
- Scheduling is based on driver and truck availability.
- Registration is not complete until fees are paid in full.
- We are unable to offer payment plans at this time.
Class 2S (School Bus) Registration Notes
Prior to beginning your training with the North Peace Commercial Driving Academy, individuals must provide:
- A copy of your driver abstract to be reviewed by the school division.
- Evidence of applicable driving experience.
- Affirmation of an interest in young people as these will be a bus driver's primary customer.
- A valid medical examination.
- A recent Vulnerable Sector Check (completed no more than six months prior to the date of your application)
