North Peace Commercial Driving Academy Announces Industry-Leading 92% First-Time Pass Rate; Expands to offer Class 3 Driver Training
Grimshaw, AB – North Peace Commercial Driving Academy, a premier provider of vocational transportation training in northern Alberta, is proud to announce a remarkable achievement in student success. Since launching its first cohort in June 2024, the Academy has maintained a 92% first-time pass rate for students taking their provincial driving exams.
In an industry where licensing exams are increasingly rigorous, North Peace Commercial Driving Academy has set a new regional standard. This success is driven by the Academy’s two instructors, who bring decades of combined "on-the-road" and industry experience, and now have a proven track record of mentorship and quality driver training
"Our goal wasn't just to open a school, but to build a pipeline of elite, road-ready professionals," said Peace River School Division’s Director of Business Services, Carolynn Fraser. "A 92% first-time pass rate proves that when you learn from veterans who have lived the industry, you don't just learn to pass a test—you learn to master the machine."
The North Peace Commercial Driving Academy is a collegiate school program offered by the Peace River School Division, in partnership with Northwestern Polytechnic. Building on the success of its flagship training, North Peace Commercial Driving Academy is officially expanding its offerings. Starting immediately, the Academy is accepting enrollments for Class 3 driver training. This expansion allows the Academy to support a wider range of students and industries, including local delivery, construction, and specialized utility services.
Individuals looking to jumpstart their careers can now book training sessions for Class 1, Class 3, Air Brakes training, as well as a modified Class 1 farmers program. Training slots are available as early as mid-to-late February 2026.
Given the Academy’s high success rate and the addition of the Class 3 program, seats are expected to fill quickly. Interested individuals and corporate partners are encouraged to call immediately to secure their placement.
