MES Principal Selected Semi-Finalist for Alberta Excellence in Teaching Award |

 Peace River School Division (PRSD) is thrilled to announce that Kim Matheson Lyseng, Manning Elementary School (MES) Principal has been chosen a Semi-Finalist in the Alberta Excellence in Teaching Awards.
“I am honoured to have been nominated and selected as a semi-finalist for this award” says Kim. “I share this award with students, parents, school and divisional staff, my supportive family and the entire community of Manning. Without the support of the entire school community and the outstanding mentorship and leadership of divisional staff I would not be a humbled recipient of this award.” |

Peace Regional Outreach Campus Recipient of Andrew Grant |

Peace River Regional Outreach Campus (PROC) is buzzing with excitement following an announcement that they have been selected to receive the Rotary Club of Eugene-Delta (Oregon) Andrew Grant. Funds provided by the Andrew grant, valued between $500,000 to $700,000, were made available through the estate of Dorothy and Gray Wittmeyer of Port Orford, Oregon. Their wills specified a request to donate the funds to a charitable project in Peace River to honour Dorthy's parents, Bill and Agnes Andrew. |

Grimshaw High Hosts ASAA 2012 Badminton Provincials |
|
 Grimshaw Jr Sr High School (GHS) hosted the 2012 Alberta Schools' Athletics Association (ASAA) Badminton Provincials May 4 - 6th. A total of 238 athletes and 80 coaches attended the sporting event representing 85 schools in the province.
