Learning Japanese Through Music, Games, and Leadership Activities

Mrs. Fraser’s Grade 8 Social Studies classes had the unique opportunity to collaborate with students from Ms. Morrow’s Senior High Japanese class during their Japanese social unit. The senior high students took on leadership roles, teaching and sharing what they have learned about Japanese food, numbers, basic vocabulary, and common phrases. They also led interactive activities, including a version of “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in Japanese, which the Grade 8 students thoroughly enjoyed.
