Fairview High School is incredibly proud to announce that Grade 12 student and Senior Women’s Varsity Volleyball Captain, Zahra Robertson, has signed with the Lakeland College Rustlers!

Zahra has been a Cobra for six seasons, beginning her volleyball journey in grade 7 with Mrs. Szmata as her very first coach. Over the years, she has grown from a young athlete into an exceptional leader, teammate and role model.

During her time with the Cobras, Zahra has helped lead our Senior Women’s Varsity team to incredible success, including a Zone Championship last season which was our first in two decades!

Her accomplishments extend beyond the Cobra program. Zahra has also represented SPVC South Peace Volleyball Club from U15 through U18, helping her teams win two provincial championships and a provincial bronze medal, while individually earning a U16 Provincial All-Star Award.

And while these athletic accomplishments are certainly something to celebrate, they are only part of what makes Zahra so special. Throughout it all, she has maintained a high academic average, demonstrated tremendous commitment and leadership, and has been an outstanding student and role model to her fellow peers.

Zahra will continue her volleyball career with the Lakeland College Rustlers, the four-time defending CCAA National Champions, while studying Business beginning in the fall of 2027.

We couldn't be more proud of the young woman Zahra has become and all that she has accomplished during her time at Fairview High School. We know she will continue to represent our school, our community and herself with the same dedication, character and determination that have brought her to this point.

Congratulations, Zahra! We are so proud of you and can't wait to watch you take this next step!

Once a Cobra, always a Cobra!
