Jonathan Pittman appointed as Acting Principal of Peace River High School
Peace River School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Pittman as the Acting Principal of Peace River High School for the 2021/2022 school year.
In 2005 Jonathan successfully completed his B.Sc. from Memorial University where he majored in Geography and Minored in Geology. In 2007 Jonathan received his B.Ed. in Secondary Education from Memorial University. Currently, Jonathan is a member of Peace River School Division’s Leadership Cohort and is halfway through his Master of Education program with the University of Alberta.
Jonathan was hired by Glenmary High School in 2007 to teach Jr and Sr high sciences. In 2018 Jonathan was hired to be the Vice Principal of T. A. Norris Middle School. In 2013 he began working with the Youth Science Canada Regional Science Fair as their president until the present day. This role allows him to support students in their enjoyment and acquisition of important skills such as Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. Jonathan is also very active in the community where he supports his local church and Peace Players.
Jonathan will bring energy and the right leadership skill sets to the role of Acting Principal of Peace River High School and the school division will benefit from his leadership.
