Kuester and Velichka continue as Board Chair and Vice-Chair

June 22, 2018 – The Peace River School Division (PRSD) Board of Trustees held its organizational meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 when both Darren Kuester and Delainah Velichka were re-elected to continue in their roles as Board Chair and Vice Chair respectively.
Darren Kuester, Ward three trustee has served four terms on the board and sixth consecutive year as Board Chair.
“Peace River School Division is an exceptional school division that is truly focused on ensuring the success of every student and I am proud to be a part of such a dedicated team” says Kuester. “I am pleased to continue as Board Chair and together with fellow trustees, I am dedicated to being a strong advocate for our students and proudly support all that public education represents.”
Delainah Velichka is serving her second term on the board and second year as Vice-Chair.
“Schools are the heart of our communities, and like our communities, public schools represent various cultures, religions and backgrounds joined together as one” says Velichka. “Peace River School Division provides students with all-encompassing educational experiences and continually evolves to meet the varying needs of students and I am honored to continue in my role on the board.”
During the organizational meeting, trustees also determined committees they will represent, appointed trustee representation to external agencies and scheduled dates and times for regular board meetings for the 2018-2019 school year.
