Board to revisit topic of centralization of PRSD's Central and Support Service offices

For immediate release

January 15, 2018 – During the regular board meeting held on December 19, 2017, the Peace River School Division (PRSD) board of trustees voted to revisit the topic of a possible centralization of PRSD’s central and support service offices.

“The majority of the board agrees that centralization needs to be put back on the table for discussion as we have outstanding concerns regarding space at Central Office as well as garage bay space” says PRSD Board Chair Darren Kuester.

“As the current board has five new trustees, we will designate time to become familiar with the previous centralization review and PRSD’s current needs” says Kuester. “Centralization is not a topic we take lightly and it is important that the new board members become as familiar as possible with all aspects before deciding on next steps moving forward.”

PRSD will advise the public once a timeline has been determined for the board to discuss centralization.
