Curriculum
Connections Program:
The Library’s ‘Curriculum Connections Program’
provides multi-purpose displays that reference a variety of curriculum
studies. Its goal is to provide visual engagement which supplements
the curriculum assignments and discussions. Various art images,
displays, and resources are made available for student supports.
October Library Art Exhibit: ‘Out on a Limb’
celebrates the International Year of Forests through examining artistic
representations of trees. Trees and forests have long figured in
the consciousness of mankind. With the development of ‘true’
landscape painting in European art in the 1800s, the tree came to
be recognized for both its aesthetic and formal qualities and this
interest remained predominant in landscape painting throughout the
20th century.

Library Art Exhibit: ‘Off Spring’ focuses on
three generations of the Lindoe linage producing art in southern
Alberta and British Columbia. Paintings, prints and drawings primarily
from the collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts provide
a glimpse into their interconnected artistry and professional dexterity.
