Peace River School Division (PRSD) has now begun community consultation meetings throughout the division. The PRSD initiative, “Conversations Toward Student Success” supports two way discussions, gathers the community’s voice, discusses educational topics and fosters strong community relationships.
We are enjoying this opportunity to connect with the community and discuss educational topics that will assist in future planning” says Nan Bartlett, PRSD Board Chair. “The input of the community is important to us and we look forward to working together for the success of all students”
During the month of February, “Conversations Toward Student Success” will see PRSD visit the communities of Worsley, Peace River, Grimshaw, Manning and Fairview. The two hour group discussions are designed to provide an atmosphere that supports open dialogue in a relaxed setting.
Additionally, PRSD is making a survey available online, which is open to all members of the public. It is available February 18, 2010 until March 5, 2010. To access the survey, go to www.prsd.ab.ca and click on the link. “We encourage the community to log-on and provide input through the survey tool. Every voice matters” says Bartlett.
“The information gathered through this process will serve as a valuable tool toward the division’s future strategic planning as well as help determine budget priorities” says Bartlett. “It is very important for us to connect with the community as we move forward.”
